1. Service Description

validate.science is an analytical tool that helps researchers and readers assess epistemic risk in scientific documents. We analyze claims made in scientific papers and evaluate them against the evidence presented within those documents.

Important: We Are a Tool, Not a Publisher

We do not claim any ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights over the documents you upload or the content within them. Our service simply provides analysis of your existing materials. All rights to your documents remain entirely with you and/or the original rights holders.

2. Your Use of the Service

By using validate.science, you represent that:

You have the right to upload and analyze the documents you submit
You will not use the service for any unlawful purpose
You understand that our analysis is provided for informational purposes and should not be considered definitive scientific judgment

3. No AI Training on Your Data

Your Data Will NOT Be Used for AI Training

By default, we will never use your uploaded documents or analysis results to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. This is a firm commitment. If we ever wish to use anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes, we will seek your explicit, separate consent first. You are under no obligation to provide such consent, and refusal will not affect your use of the service.

4. Intellectual Property

We claim no copyright or intellectual property rights over:

Documents you upload to our service
The content, claims, or findings within those documents
Any derivative insights from our analysis of your documents

The analysis reports we generate are provided to you for your use. You may share, distribute, or use these reports as you see fit.

5. Limitation of Liability

validate.science is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our analysis is algorithmic and should be used as one input among many in evaluating scientific literature. We are not responsible for decisions made based on our analysis.

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, DeSci Labs AG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
